THE GREEN LIBRARY was founded by Irene Noordhof, nature lover, mother of three children and digital artist working under the name EYEREEN. With the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam as a starting point, in addition to portraits, she mainly creates Still lifes of flowers and plants and has her own view on how these can best be achieved in stillness and beauty.

She creates the composition with flowers and plants in her photo studio, where Irene lays down the broad outlines for every new work of art. To get to the image she has in her head, she uses various digital tools. Her Still lifes consist of many layers that come together to create the perfect image.

While purchasing (artificial) flowers and plants for her Still Lifes, she noticed that the sustainability of floriculture is increasingly being discussed. According to her, the switch to artificial flowers and plants also offers no solution.

By founding THE GREEN LIBRARY, a library where everyone who loves flowers, plants and art, she offers a sustainable solution for greening your office or interior. Her still lifes can now be borrowed for a fixed amount per month. The canvases and frames are circular and the still lifes can be switched with the season or if you feel like something new.

To strengthen its contribution to a sustainable future, THE GREEN LIBRARY donates 1% of its turnover to The Pollinators. This organization has been helping pollinating insects in their survival since 2016 by restoring the landscape in the Netherlands. 'They bring back flowers and trees, stimulate awareness about biodiversity and strive for a healthier relationship with our natural environment.'
