How does borrowing a Still Life work?

Borrowing from THE GREEN LIBRARY is very simple! Follow the steps below and the fun can begin:

1. Choose your Still Life
Select your favorite Still Life and choose your size. Are you hesitant about which work of art would look best in your office? Email a photo or video to hello@thegreenlibrary.nl and we will support you.

2. Place your order
As soon as your order has been placed, we will get to work for you. We collect all supplies and schedule a delivery date which suits you best.

3. Enjoy your Still Life.
We deliver the Still Life ready-made to your requested location. You pay a fixed amount per month and can keep the Still Life for as long as you want. Enjoy!

4. Time for a new Still Life? Request a swap and we will schedule a suitable delivery time with you. We place the new Still Life and take the old Still Life with us. This is being cleaned for a new customer – so completely circular.

Purchasing a Still Life

Can I purchase the Still Life that I borrow from you? Or any other from the collection?

Of course! The advantage of borrowing is that you can keep swapping Still lifes and are therefore never 'stuck' with one image. But everything is for sale, including the Still lifes.

Members can enjoy a discount. You can buy the Still Lifes after being a member for a year with a 10% discount, after 2 years with a 20% discount and after 3 years with the highest possible discount of 30%.

Sustainability

What is sustainable about borrowing wall art?

The canvases and frames used by THE GREEN LIBRARY can be reused. After a thorough cleaning, the frames are passed on to the next customer if a subscription is canceled. They are made of aluminum and therefore easy to maintain and can also be recycled for other purposes.

The canvasses are cleaned after each rental and (barring damage) they are passed on to the next customer.

If the canvasses are damaged, we will arrange another destination in collaboration with a sewing workshop.

Delivery & returns

How will my Still Life be delivered?

The Still Life is delivered by our own delivery service (only not when purchased outside our delivery area) to ensure that everything goes according to our wishes. To reduce our footprint, we use minimal packaging material and all used packaging material will be taken away and reused by the delivery person. We deliver by bicycle in the Amsterdam region.

What if I don't like my Still Life?

Despite a careful choice by yourself or us, it may of course happen that you are not completely satisfied. If something isn't 100% perfect, our team will do everything they can to help you. Contact us at hello@thegreenlibrary.nl and we will ensure that you can swap your Still Life for a Still Life of your choice.

What if my Still Life is damaged upon arrival?

The delivery person will always check whether the Still Life is in perfect shape before leaving the building. If there is something wrong, please contact us at hello@thegreenlibrary.nl and we will make sure that you can swap it for a new Still Life.

What if my subscription Still life is damaged in my office or at home?

We'll figure it out! If you accidentally damage your Still Life, please contact us at hello@thegreenlibrary.nl and we will find a solution together.

What if the service disappoints me?

If you are not satisfied with our membership service, please indicate that you wish to cancel the subscription within 14 days of purchasing. We will then refund the entire purchase amount of the subscription. It is good to know that the subscription can also be canceled every month.

I receive the message that I cannot order because I fall outside the delivery area. How can I order?

For the time being, we only deliver our works of art within a radius of approximately 50 kilometers around Amsterdam to limit our footprint. Still Lifes that are purchased will be delivered throughout the Netherlands however because it concerns a one-time delivery.

So please send a message to hello@thegreenlibrary.nl if you fall outside the delivery area and want to purchase, and we will fix it for you.

If you would also like to qualify for a membership, but you fall outside the delivery area, please send an email to hello@thegreenlibrary.nl and we will look at the options together.

Payments

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept iDEAL and credit card. If you prefer to use a different payment method, please contact us at hello@thegreenlibary.nl and we will look at the options.

When will my first payment be debited from my account?

The first period is paid in advance when you pay for a Still Life on our website. Your membership starts on the date the Still Life is delivered. From that moment on, the amount will be automatically debited from your account every month.

Tailor-made services

Would you like a larger or tailor-made artwork? Or do you want to borrow Still Lifes for an event? That’s also possible! Fill out the contact form on our website or send an email with your plans to hello@thegreenlibrary.nl, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Other questions

Can I switch between the different subscriptions?

Yes, that's entirely up to you. You can take out a larger or smaller subscription at any time.

If you want to change your subscription, send us an email at hello@eyereen.nl and we will arrange it for you.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Certainly! This can be done at any time. If you cancel, we will make an appointment with you to collect your Still Life within 2 weeks.

Can I choose which Still Life I receive next time?

Of course! When purchasing your swap you can indicate which Still Life you would like to receive.
